On Monday night in Los Angeles, “The Shield” star, Michael Jace called the police himself to report that he had shot his wife, reports TMZ.
According to law enforcement sources, Jace called 911 around 8:30 PM PT and told police,”I shot my wife.” Jace’s neighbors in the Hyde Park area of L.A. had earlier reported shots fired in the home and shortly thereafter Jace made his call to 911.
The Police on getting to their home at Brynhurst Avenue in Hyde Park, found Michael Jace (51) and April Jace (40) suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, NBC reports. April was declared dead by paramedics at the scene.
The couple’s two children, both boys under the age of 10, were in the house at the time of the shooting but LA police said was unclear whether the boys witnessed the shooting and still do not know why the actor shot his wife dead.
Jace popularly known as Detective Lowe from “The Shield” who also played law enforcement roles on “CSI,” as well as “NYPD Blue” was taken into custody, and as of 1:00 AM PT today, was being questioned, but had not been booked for his wife’s death.
